<div>The Pattern Analysis and Computer Vision Research Line (https://pavis.iit.it/) at Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia is looking for a highly motivated post-doc with background in machine learning applied to neuroimaging data (fMRI, dTI, MEG, EEG, etc.). The
position is in the context of the project “The role of brain network connectivity and machine learning for predicting disease worsening and cognitive impairment in patients with multiple sclerosis” in collaboration with the Institute of Experimental Neurology
at Ospedale San Raffaele, supported by FISM, Fondazione Italiana Sclerosi Multipla onlus, gran n° cod. 2018/R/5 – cup F46C19000000001.</div>
<div><br>
</div>
<div>The project is focused on the development of machine learning algorithms and advanced computational methods for the analysis of brain imaging data recorded from multiple sclerosis (MS) patients. The interest is mainly in brain connectivity and how this
relates with the disease. The aim is to support the prediction of long-term prognosis in MS. The research line will address problems such as the association of white-matter (dis)-connections with MS phenotypes, integration of functional and structural connectivity,
definition of connectivity biomarkers used in long-term prediction of MS clinical worsening, etc...</div>
