The IIT center at Ca' Foscari University in Venice - Center for Cultural Heritage Technology@CaÌFoscari (CCHT@CaÌFoscari) has the mission to research and promote new technologies and to extend existing techniques for preservation and analysis of the invaluable
Cultural Heritage assets managed by galleries, libraries, archives and museums across different fields of art.<br>
CCHT@CaÌFoscari is currently seeking to appoint a Computer Vision and Machine Learning Researcher.<br>
The selected candidate will join an interdisciplinary team of researchers, contributing to the development of next-generation 3D digitization and machine learning approaches applied to the Cultural Heritage (CH) and Digital Humanities (DH) domain.<br>

Required qualifications:</div>
<div>a Ph.D. in computer science or related field (with specialization in either computer vision or machine learning) and at least 2 years of postdoc experience;<br>
Knowledge of programming languages, in particular, Python, C/C++, and MATLAB;<br>
Experience in grant proposal preparation and managing at European and National level;<br>
Proven interdisciplinary collaborations with scientific staff or stakeholders in the Cultural Heritage and Digital Humanities fields.<br>
Good communication skills and ability to cooperate;<br>
Experience in supervising or co-supervising Ph.D. students or postdocs;<br>
Proficient in English language (written and oral).<br>
<br>
Desirable skills:<br>
Knowledge of OpenCV, PCL, and Open3D libraries;<br>
Practical experience on Deep Learning algorithms and relevant platforms (e.g. TensorFlow, PyTorch, Theano, Caffe);<br>
Experience in cultural heritage knowledge graphs and graph-based machine learning approaches.<br>

The successful candidate will be offered a salary commensurate with experience and skills.<br>
