<DIV>---Advancing BI Technologies from Basic Science Research to Real-World
Practice--- </DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>==============================================</DIV>
<DIV>July 26, 2018: Papers submission deadline (Extended)</DIV>
<DIV>==============================================</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>The International Conference on Brain Informatics series (BI) </DIV>
<DIV>has established itself as the world's premier research forum </DIV>
<DIV>that brings together researchers and practitioners from </DIV>
<DIV>neuroscience, cognitive science, computer science, data science, </DIV>
<DIV>artificial intelligence, information communication technologies, </DIV>
<DIV>and neuroimaging technologies with the purpose of exploring the </DIV>
<DIV>fundamental roles, interactions as well as practical impacts of </DIV>
<DIV>Brain Informatics.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>The BI'18 will provide a broad forum that academia, professionals </DIV>
<DIV>and industry people can exchange their ideas, findings, and strategies
</DIV>
<DIV>in brain informatics research and brain-inspired concepts and </DIV>
<DIV>technologies. It welcomes emerging technologies for addressing </DIV>
<DIV>fundamental neurobiological questions about healthy brain function, </DIV>
<DIV>laying the groundwork for advancing treatments for brain disorders </DIV>
<DIV>or injury, and for generating brain-inspired "smart" artificial </DIV>
<DIV>intelligence and computing technologies to meet future societal needs.
</DIV>
<DIV>It will educate and expand the brain informatics workforce and create
</DIV>
<DIV>new career opportunities for brain research and related innovations.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>The BI'18 welcomes paper submissions (full paper and abstract</DIV>
<DIV>submissions). Both research and application papers are solicited. All</DIV>
<DIV>submitted papers will be peer-reviewed on the basis of technical
quality,</DIV>
<DIV>relevance, significance and clarity. Accepted full papers will be</DIV>
<DIV>included in the proceedings by Springer LNCS/LNAI (<A
href="http://www.springer.com/us/book/9783319707716)">http://www.springer.com/us/book/9783319707716)</A>.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>Workshop, Special-Session and Tutorial proposals, and</DIV>
<DIV>Industry/Demo-Track papers are also welcome. The organizers of</DIV>
<DIV>Workshops and Special-Sessions are invited to prepare a book proposal</DIV>
<DIV>based on the topics of the workshop/special session for possible book</DIV>
<DIV>publication in the Springer-Nature Brain Informatics & Health
book</DIV>
<DIV>series (<A

All full</DIV>
<DIV>length papers accepted (and all special sessions' full length papers)</DIV>
<DIV>will be published by Springer as a volume of the series of LNCS/LNAI.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>TYPE-II (Abstract Submissions):</DIV>
<DIV>Abstracts have a word limit of 500 words. Experimental research is</DIV>
<DIV>particularly welcome. Accepted abstract submissions will be included</DIV>
<DIV>in the conference program, and will be published as a single,</DIV>
<DIV>collective proceedings volume.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>Title: Include in the title of the abstract all words critical for a</DIV>
<DIV>subject index. Write your title in sentence case (first letter is</DIV>
<DIV>capitalized; remaining letters are lower case). Do not bold or</DIV>
<DIV>italicize your full title.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>Author: List all authors who contributed to the work discussed in the</DIV>
