The position is renewable up to 3 years.</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">The Postdoctoral Fellow will be working primarily with Dr. Sageev Oore and Dr. Thomas Trappenberg.</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">The Fellow’s primary appointment will be at Dalhousie University, and they will also have the opportunity to spend time at the Vector Institute. The successful candidate will be encouraged to collaborate with and supervise students, collaborate with other members
of the CS Faculty and the Vector Institute, engage in state-of-the-art research, and publish internationally.</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">While there is interest in projects on language modelling, medical applications, audio processing and computational creativity (e.g. music/art/language generation and understanding), the Fellow will have freedom to propose work on research topics of their own interest related to machine learning
and deep learning. </div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class=""><b class="">Requirements</b></div><div class=""><b class=""><br class=""></b></div><div class="">A Ph.D. in Computer Science or in a related field is required; candidates who have excelled in a closely-related area and are looking to move into deep learning or machine learning are also encouraged to apply.</div><div class="">A strong publication record is required.
