However for machines the task remains considerably challenging. When projected onto different images planes, in fact, a 3D motion may change severely, increasing the complexity of successfully matching motion descriptors of the same actions observed from different viewpoints. Nevertheless, this ability is a key to address motion understanding tasks in unconstrained, real world situations. Differently from laboratory settings, commonly used for methods evaluation, the expected relative position between observer and actor can not be definite and more importantly is unfixed. This special session aims at gathering contributions on the challenging task of view-invariant motion representation and understanding. <o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal
