<strong>Academic profile:  ELECTRONIC BIOENGINEERING</strong></p><p style="margin:15px 0px;font-size:13px;line-height:20px;color:rgb(84,84,84);border:0px;font-family:Helvetica">The Department of Electronic Engineering, Universidad Técnica Federico Santa María (UTFSM), offers a full-time tenure-track academic position, to strengthen multidisciplinary research lines in Electronic Bioengineering.</p>
<p style="margin:15px 0px;font-size:13px;line-height:20px;color:rgb(84,84,84);border:0px;font-family:Helvetica">The successful applicant will be asked to sign a performance agreement defining the specific goals to be achieved in teaching and research during a trial period of three years. If the assessment of the attainment of the goals specified in the aforementioned agreement receives positive evaluations, the candidate will be offered a permanent position in the Department of Electronic Engineering.</p>

1)Possession of a doctoral degree in Electronic Engineering, or similar, with demonstrable results in the creation of knowledge, through patents or publications in ISI indexed journals.</p><p style="margin:15px 0px;font-size:13px;line-height:20px;color:rgb(84,84,84);border:0px;font-family:Helvetica">
2)Experience in application to and management of research projects.</p><p style="margin:15px 0px;font-size:13px;line-height:20px;color:rgb(84,84,84);border:0px;font-family:Helvetica">3)Willingness to teach in graduate programs and at undergraduate level (theoretical and experimental).</p>
<p style="margin:15px 0px;font-size:13px;line-height:20px;color:rgb(84,84,84);border:0px;font-family:Helvetica">4)Willingness to participate in training programs aimed at the use of modern educational methodologies and in the planning of the engineering education curriculum.</p>

<p style="margin:15px 0px;font-size:13px;line-height:20px;color:rgb(84,84,84);border:0px;font-family:Helvetica">Additionally, it is desirable that the candidate complements and strengthens new lines of research in the Department of Electronic Engineering, such as voice and human hearing, biomedical acoustics, computational neuroscience, biological vision and ambulatory monitoring of biomedical signals, human computer interaction, cognitive feedback and statistical analysis.</p>
