"the third generation" of neural networks quite a while ago already.
Over the last decade, various spiking neural network models have been proposed,
alongside a similar increasing interest in spiking models of computation in
computational neuroscience. Still, state-of-the-art neural networks, like deep
learning models, are based on traditional neural networks. In this special
session, we want to bring together advances in spiking neural networks that
challenge, or go beyond, the current state-of-the-art in neural networks. </span><span style="font-size:11pt;font-family:Arial;color:black"></span></p>
