Greetings colleagues,

We are seeking an exceptional PhD candidate to study at Visual Computing Group<https://groups.inf.ed.ac.uk/vico/> of the University of Edinburgh starting in September 2024. The successful candidate will have an opportunity to work on cutting-edge computer vision and machine learning research projects. The goal of this project is to synthesising anonymised training datasets.

PhD candidate requirements. We are looking for creative and motivated applicants with, or expected to obtain soon a MSc degree with high marks in a relevant discipline, including Informatics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering but not limited to. Excellent programming skills (python) and knowledge of deep learning libraries (PyTorch, Tensorflow) are required. Previous experience on machine learning and computer vision, for example generative models and meta-learning, and publications in top-tier conferences like CVPR, NeurIPS are appreciated but not a requirement.

Funding. This is an industry funded award and will provide an annual stipend for the whole duration of the PhD (3.5 years) and plus University fees.
