The Department of Computer Science invites applications for a postdoctoral or more senior research position in Computational Cognitive Science, under the direction of Tom Griffiths. Ph.D. is required. Applicants should have a background in cognitive science or a related discipline such as computer science or psychology, with a research agenda focused on using mathematical, computational, and behavioral methods to understand the nature of intelligence. The focus of the research project will be exploring applications of metalearning to understanding human cognition and creating more human-like machine learning systems. Applications will be evaluated on the basis of the applicant's previous accomplishments and their fit with ongoing research projects.
