You are invited to participate in the Workshop "Computational Theories
of the Brain" at the Simons Institute for the Theory of Computing at the
University of California, Berkeley, USA. This workshop will take place
April 16 - 19, 2018, as part of the current special semester "The Brain
and Computation" at the Simons Institute
https://simons.berkeley.edu/programs/brain2018

This workshop is about general computational principles for networks
of neurons that help us understand experimental data, about principles
that enable us to reproduce aspects of the brain's astounding
computational capability in models and neuromorphic hardware, and about
the connections between computational neuroscience and machine learning.
Videos of the lectures will be poster after the workshop.

Program of the workshop:
https://simons.berkeley.edu/workshops/schedule/5386

Organizers:
Wolfgang Maass (Graz University of Technology; chair), Christos
Papadimitriou (Columbia University), S. Murray Sherman (University of
Chicago)

Participation is free, but you need to register in advance at
