Connectionists: Software engineer position

The lab of Prof. Michel at the University of Geneva is offering a software engineer position to work on development and advancement of brain-computer interfaces - devices that link persons' neural activity with computers, robotic limbs or implanted stimulators - with the aim of restoring communication and independence of people with paralysis.
The successful candidate will work on several well-funded projects and is expected to transition to other projects in the future as those are initiated.
The ideal candidate will have:

1.     Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering

2.     Successfully developed real-life project(s) in C/C++

3.     Experience in interfacing with hardware APIs

4.     Experience in development of modular and multithreaded software frameworks that can be easily extended to work with other hardware and other software packages

5.     Experience in the development of GUI (Qt, wxWidgets...)

6.     Excellent coding standards, following industry best practices regarding code commenting, code documentation, version control, unit and integration tests.
The following will also be a plus:

1.     Knowledge of linear algebra and related C libraries (LAPAC, BLAS, etc.)

2.     Some experience in development of Matlab software

3.     Knowledge of real-time operating systems

4.     The ability to manage multiple development projects
