UMass Amherst Computer Science is hiring faculty in data science broadly this year and for multiple years to come---at both the junior and senior levels.

Review of applications this season is continuing according to the typical CS timing: peaking in December and early January, with interviews starting in late January or early February 2018.

We have 5 openings in data science this year; 10+ openings over the coming several years; (there are additional faculty openings in other areas this year, as well, including a separate search in data science theory).

Job Description:
The College of Information and Computer Sciences at the University of Massachusetts Amherst invites applications for multiple tenure-track faculty positions in Computer Science for the 2018-2019 academic year.  
Multiple openings are available for Assistant and Associate level Professors in the field of Data Science. Under exceptional circumstances, highly qualified candidates at other ranks may receive consideration for these openings.

Requirements:
Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related area, and should show evidence of exceptional research promise.
