Connectionists: Plagiarism and Myopia in the Research Community of Neural Networks

My following post raised two academic issues about the current "popular"
trend of deep learning using neural networks.   Although it was addressed to
Fei-Fei Li at Stanford University, I guess that the raised issues are 
relevant to many readers
