Connectionists: JOB: Research Assistant in Drone Detection and Machine Learning

Dear All,

We currently have an open post for a fixed-term Research Assistant (Grade
6) post at the University of Lincoln, in the UK.

The University of Lincoln is seeking to appoint a Research Assistant, the
successful candidate will be employed as a Research Assistant on the
project SKYPERION - Autonomous Drone Detection, which will develop a novel
drone / UAV detection system. The number of reported incidents of Drones
flying in restricted airspace is on the increase.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the development of a novel
Drone detection and threat analysis system. Utilising advances in Machine
Learning techniques and signals processing, the developed system will be
able to offer detection and threat warnings for Drones flying in restricted
air spaces.

We are looking to recruit a Research Assistant specialising in the
following:

1. An understanding of Machine Learning technologies, e.g. TensorFlow

2. Good programming skills, e.g. C/C++, Python

3. Knowledge of signals processing
