Science - Developmental

The Department of Computer Science at University of Miami has openings for
two tenure track faculty positions (see ad below). One of the positions is
in Computational Neuroscience or Computational Cognitive Science. The
emphasis is on developmental, as part of a cluster initiative at the

The Department of Computer Science at the University of Miami invites
applications for two Assistant Professor faculty positions starting August
2017. Candidates must possess a Ph.D. in Computer Science or a closely
related discipline. The first position requires research expertise in
Complex Systems, including (but not limited to) biological and social
systems. The hire will be a member of the College of Arts and Sciences’
Complexity Group. The second position requires research expertise in
computational neuroscience or computational cognitive science, related to
the study of Neurodevelopmental Disorders. The hire will have opportunities
to collaborate with researchers in the Department of Psychology, the
Department of Biology, the College of Arts and Sciences’ Complexity Group
and Brain Initiative, and the Medical school. The hire will be expected to
teach at both undergraduate and graduate levels, and to develop and
maintain internationally recognized research programs. The department
encourages innovative interdisciplinary work with other units in the
university.

teaching philosophy, sample preprints or reprints, any teaching evaluations
from the last two years, and the names of at least three references online
