*Postdoctoral Position: Hidden Markov modeling of eye movements*

*Department of Psychology, the University of Hong Kong*

Applicants are invited for appointment as *Post-doctoral Fellow in
Cognitive Science in the Department of Psychology*, to commence as soon as
possible but not later than February 28, 2017 for a period of 1 year, with
the possibility of renewal up to 3 years.

Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Cognitive Science,
or related fields, good programming skills, experience in Matlab and
knowledge of machine learning methods. Preference will be given to those
with experience in hidden Markov modelling or eye tracking experiments and
analysis. The appointee will work in the Attention, Brain and Cognition
lab led by Dr. Janet Hsiao, on the project related to hidden Markov
modelling of eye movements in cognitive tasks and the application of this
method to the understanding of cognitive deficits in the clinical
population. The project involves developing hidden Markov model based
approaches for analyzing eye movement data, in collaboration with Dr.
Antoni Chan (Department of Computer Science, City University of Hong Kong)
and Professor Tatia Lee (Department of Psychology, University of Hong
