Rutgers University Seeks Senior Research Scientist Working on Alzheimer's Disease for New Endowed Chair in Alzheimer’s Disease and Neurodegeneration

The Honorable Herbert C. and Jacqueline Krieger Klein have funded a new Endowed Chair in Alzheimer’s Disease and Neurodegeneration Research as part of the Rutgers University Brain Health Institute (http://brainhealthinstitute.rutgers.edu <http://brainhealthinstitute.rutgers.edu/>). We seek a well-funded, accomplished senior research scientist or physician scientist working in the field of Alzheimer’s disease, neurodegeneration or related research, who would add materially to the strengths already at Rutgers in neurodegenerative research.

With two teaching hospitals and over 250 neuroscience faculty labs at Newark, New Brunswick and Piscataway, Rutgers offers tremendous collaborative opportunities and core facilities to support and grow an active research program. The candidate for the Endowed Chair should also be a leader who can coordinate research among many faculty, form the nexus of a collaborative research focus or center, and develop new research opportunities. Applicants must have a PhD, MD or equivalent doctoral degree, with demonstrated ability to lead an independent NIH-funded research program in Alzheimer’s disease and neurodegeneration research. Rutgers values a culturally diverse faculty; we strongly encourage applications from female and minority candidates.

Applicants should submit a CV and statement of research accomplishments and plans and names of three to five references to Dr. Terri Wood, the Chair of the search committee, at bhi at ca.rutgers.edu <mailto:bhi at ca.rutgers.edu>.
