Connectionists: Tenure track position at Oregon State University

School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at Oregon State
University invites applications for one or more full-time tenure-track
and/or tenured faculty positions in Computer Science. Areas of focus include
AI and Machine Learning, Systems and Security, Databases, Software
Engineering, and Programming Languages. We are particularly interested in
applicants who can contribute to the College of Engineering's signature
research areas: precision health, clean energy, resilient infrastructure,
and advanced manufacturing. 

 

Candidates should hold a Ph.D. in computer science or a closely related
discipline by the start date of employment. Appointment is anticipated at
the Assistant Professor rank, but candidates with exceptional qualifications
may be considered for appointment at the rank of Associate Professor or
Professor. Applicants should demonstrate a strong commitment and capacity to
initiate new funded research as well as to expand, complement, and
collaborate with existing research programs in the OSU College of
Engineering and beyond. Further, applicants should demonstrate a strong
commitment to graduate and undergraduate teaching, including developing new
courses related to their research expertise.

 

Oregon State is located in Corvallis, at the heart of Oregon's Willamette
Valley. Surrounded by forests and mountains, Corvallis combines the
amenities of a college town with ample opportunity for outdoor recreation
and fresh local food. Portland, the Cascade mountain range, and the Oregon
Coast are all within easy reach.
