The Department of Psychology is seeking to fill a tenure-track assistant professor faculty position, with an anticipated start date of July 1, 2014. We are interested in candidates with exceptional promise conducting research in the area of higher-level cognition, broadly construed. Research interests may include but are not limited to language, learning, reasoning, decision-making, concepts, high-level perception, attention, skill acquisition, and memory. Use or development of new experimental or computational methods is highly desirable. This position will be based in the Cognition, Brain, and Behavior area of the department. Ph.D. or equivalent is required by date of hire.  The department is committed to addressing the family needs of faculty, including dual career couples and single parents, and is interested in candidates who will contribute to diversity and equal opportunity in higher education through their teaching, research, and service.
