You will join a child language modeling project, led by Dr Franklin
Chang. The project will involve the development of a connectionist
model of syntax acquisition that will be fit to range of acquisition
phenomena (e.g., grammaticality judgments, preferential looking,
elicited production). You will be responsible for programming and
analyzing a neural network of syntax acquisition. You should have a
PhD in psychology, computer science or a closely related field and
have an interest in connectionist models and syntactic
development.  Experience with programming languages like python, Java, R,
or related languages is desirable.
The post is available for 2 years, commencing 1 October
2012.
