The Department of Computing is currently seeking an appointment at
Professorial level to provide research leadership for the Computational
Intelligence activity within the Department, and to develop
collaborative and interdisciplinary links within the University and
externally.   Applications are particularly welcome in the areas of
biologically inspired algorithms, image understanding and semantics,
classification, bioinformatics, and information extraction.  The
successful candidate will also be involved in the subsequent recruitment
of a Senior Lecturer/Reader to support this post.
