DAIMLERCHRYSLER PEDESTRIAN CLASSIFICATION BENCHMARK

As part of the publication

S. Munder and D. M. Gavrila,
"An Experimental Study on Pedestrian Classification,"
IEEE Trans. on Pattern Analysis and Machine Intelligence,
vol.28, no.11, pp.1863-1868, 2006,

we are making a large set of pedestrian and non-pedestrian
images available for non-commercial, research purposes.
The aim is to advance research on pedestrian (object) classification
by allowing comparison of various approaches (including neural
computations) on a common data set.

The so-called DaimlerChrysler (DC) pedestrian classification
benchmark contains a base set of 4000 pedestrian- and
5000 non-pedestrian samples cut out from video images and
scaled to common size of 18x36 pixels. The benchmark furthermore
contains a collection of 1200 video images not containing any
pedestrians, for optional bootstrapping approaches.

The DC pedestrian classfication benchmark is available at:

http://www.science.uva.nl/research/isla/dc-ped-class-benchmark.html

For more information on the pedestrian detection application, see

Feedback is welcome.
