LORIA-INRIA in Nancy, France is a research unit in computer science.
Part of the group activity focuses on computational neuroscience and
in particular on spiking neural network models for sensory processing.
A one year postdoctoral position is offered to study the role of
inhibition in shaping spike synchronization and field potential oscillations
in early olfactory systems (insects' antennal lobe, vertebrates' olfactory
bulb) by means of computational modelling.
This research is part of the european project GOSPEL (General Olfaction and
Sensing Projects on a European Level: http://www.gospel-network.org).
The ideal candidate should be familiar with spiking neurons
(integrate-and-fire models) and should have skills in computer science
and applied mathematics.
Salary will be based upon the candidate's experience. This position is
available immediately to qualified applicants. Please email CV to
