PhD Scholarship

Victoria University of Wellington is offering a PhD scholarship in the area of 
Intelligent Systems. The scholarship will be worth $NZ 20,000 plus domestic 
fees. Note, the New Zealand government recently announced a scheme under which 
new PhD international students from 2006 only need to pay domestic fees. The 
ideal candidate will have, or be expecting to complete, a strong undergraduate 
degree (honours) or masters in computer science, statistics, or a related 
discipline, with interests in probabilistic machine learning algorithms such as 
graphical models, Gaussian processes, and reinforcement learning.
