Dear Connectionists,

  I'm helping Stanford's School of Education recruit
a faculty member with an interest in statistics. They're
looking for somebody who is:

1)  at the assistant or associate professor level
2)  a good teacher for bright non-mathematical grad students
3)  able to handle large data sets featuring missing values,
    selection biases, non-tabular structures, etc.
4)  interested in policy issues

  Recently there seems to be a sharp increase in
quantitative methods in the social sciences.  They,
like everybody else, are getting floods of data.

Note that it stresses excellence in teaching, and methodology
relevant to the social sciences.
