Hello,

The Human Research and Engineering Directorate (HRED) of the Army Research
Laboratory (ARL) is seeking proposals to develop models of the interactions
and dynamics of human cognition by using ARL's High Performance Computing
(HPC) SuperComputer assets. The project is called: Modeling and Interaction
of Neurological Dynamics with Symbolic Structures (MINDSS). Cooperative
Research and Development Agreements (CRADAs) will be used to leverage the
research activities of participating major universities who are interested
in developing computational models of human cognition. The objective is to
use ARL's state-of-the-art computer facilities to develop connectionist,
symbolic, and neurological models which are relevant to DoD's research
interests. Major areas of interest include: language processing, visual and
auditory processing, complex reasoning, and the brain's reaction to
environmental trauma and stress.

If you are interested in joining the MINDSS program, having access to our
state of the art computer systems, and submitting a proposal, please send
an e-mail to the address listed below.

You must be a U.S. citizen and you must be affiliated with a major
University.

Please feel free to forward this message to anyone whom might be
interested.

Thanks,

Troy Kelley
