Several NIH-supported postdoctoral positions in the areas of
Bioinformatics and Machine Learning are available in the Department
of Information and Computer Science (www.ics.uci.edu) and the Institute 
for Genomics and Bioinformatics (www.igb.uci.edu) 
at the University of California, Irvine.

Areas of particular interest: protein structure/function prediction, 
analysis of high-throughput array data (e.g. DNA microarray data),
gene regulation, systems biology, and all areas of machine learning.

Prospective candidates should apply with a cover letter, CV, and names
and email addresses of 2-3 referees to be sent, preferably 
by email, to: pfbaldi at ics.uci.edu. 

The positions are available immediately and the duration of 
the appointments are typically 2 years with possibility of renewal.
Relevant faculty in the department include: P. Baldi, D. Kibler, 
R. Lathrop, E. Mjolsness, and P. Smyth.
