LECTURESHIP IN NEURAL COMPUTING, COMPLEX SYSTEMS OR INFORMATION
ENGINEERING/MATHEMATICS.

ASTON UNIVERSITY, UK.


The NCRG as part of the Information Engineering group are looking for
a highly motivated individual to contribute to internationally
renowned research effort in areas of neural computing, biomedical
information engineering, and inference systems. Our theoretical
research interests span the traditional areas of signal processing,
statistical pattern processing and information mathematics. Current
applications-oriented activity includes work in biomedical areas
(ECG/EEG/MEG), image segmentation, time series analysis, geographic
information systems, error correcting codes, cryptography and
steganography. We are seeking an enthusiast who can contribute to our
research directions. The new lecturer will also be able to contribute
towards a research-based MSc and a novel undergraduate information
mathematics programme. Details of the Group's activities are on

Candidates should have excellent qualifications, a deep commitment to
research and a caring and involved attitude towards students.

Appointments will be for 5 years in the first instance, with the
possibility of subsequent transfer to a continuing appointment.
Salary scale =A318,731 to =A330,967 and exceptionally to =A334,601 per =
annum
