                      WORKSHOP OBJECTIVES
MCS 2001 is the second workshop of a series aimed to create a common
international forum for researchers of the diverse communities working in
the field of multiple classifier systems. Information on the first edition
of MCS workshop can be found on www.diee.unica.it/mcs. Contributions from
all the research communities working in the field are welcome in order to
compare the different approaches and to define the common research
priorities. Special attention is also devoted to assess the applications of
multiple classifier systems and the potential market perspectives. The
papers will be published in the workshop proceedings, and extended versions
of selected papers will be considered for publication in a special issue of
an international journal.

WORKSHOP CHAIRS
Josef Kittler (Univ. of Surrey, United Kingdom)
Fabio Roli (Univ. of Cagliari, Italy)

ORGANIZED BY
Center for Vision, Speech and Signal Proc. of the University of Surrey and
Dept. of Electrical and Electronic Eng. of the University of Cagliari
