 Applicants are invited to apply for a permanent professorship position
 within the Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Subject Group
of
 the School of Cognitive and Computing Sciences. The expected start date
is 1 January 2001 or as soon as possible thereafter.

 Candidates should be able to show evidence of significant research
 achievement in Neural Computation. The successful applicant will be
 expected to expand significantly the existing high research profile of
the
 Group in this area.

 It is intended that the post will carry a reduced teaching load.

 The salary is negotiable - the current minimum professorial salary is
 37,493 per annum.
