Krasnow Institute for Advanced Study, George Mason University, Fairfax, VA.

Post-doctoral Research Fellow in Neuropsychology / Event Related
Potential / EEG research for a 3-year or longer federally funded
project on adolescent learning to:

*	Identify neural characteristics of chronically disruptive youth with
receptive language deficits,

*	Compare these characteristics with academically and socially
successful age mates,

*	Determine if electrophysiological markers can be identified that
clearly differentiate the two groups,

*	Investigate frontal and temporal brain activity pre and post
educational intervention.

Candidates should have a doctorate in a field relevant to the cognitive
neuroscience, psychological testing, quantitative analysis of EEG, ERP,
and signal processing required to carry out this project.

FTE position to $34,000. Available Sept 1, 2000 or asap thereafter.
Research team includes: Steven Schiff (Co-PI), Paul Rapp, Martha
Farah, Steven Weinstein, William Gaillard, and Kristen Jerger.
