Postdoctoral Position Available

                     POSTDOCTORAL ASSOCIATE
               Laboratory of Biological Modelling
                   The Rockefeller University

A postdoctoral position is available for an individual interested
in collaborating with the Lab Head, Dr. George Reeke, to develop
biologically realistic neural models for behaviors in which
temporal interval and pattern recognition and production are main
components.  Current work in the Laboratory is aimed at applying
theoretical principles of neuronal group selection ("neural
Darwinism") to generate models for a variety of paradigmatic
cases that can be tested by comparing results of computational
simulations with data from psychophysical experiments.

Applicants should have a Ph.D. in a relevant area of neurobiology
or psychology and strong computer skills.  Experience with
realistic neural simulations or neural networks is desirable.

Starting date is flexible.  The position is available for 1-2
years depending on accomplishment.  Send curriculum vitae,
