AFSS'98 : Conference Information
The KFIS(Korea Fuzzy Logic and Intelligent Systems Society) is pleased
to
announce that the 3rd AFSS(AFSS'98) will be held in Masan and Tongyoung,
Kyungnam province, during June 18-21, 1998.
The first conference of this symposium was held in singapore, November,
1993. And the secod conference was held in Kenting in Taiwan, December,
1996. AFSS'98 aims to encourage information exchange between researchers
from Asia to the world for new researchers in the fields of fuzzy
systems
and related areas. Masan and Tongyoung are famous scenic sites as well
as
historic harbor cities in Kyungnam province. The beautiful scenery and
the
best climate during the conference period will provide all the
participants
with the comfortable and satisfactory meetings.

Conference Objective
The objective of the symposium is to encourage information exchange
between researchers in Asia and Western world in the fields of
fuzzy
systems and the related areas. It is also an opportunity to povide
industrial applications, new technologies and products which is

on fuzzy sets, fuzzy logic and other soft computing methods

The Conference will take place at the campus of the Kyungnam
University(15000 students) which is located in the southern part of
Masan. Kyungnam University is one of the leading Korean private
universities, very well equipped with modern audiovisual technology
and
projection facilities for all available media as well as with all
kinds
of Internet connections. The banguet and social events of AFSS98
will
be held in Tongyoung at Tongyoung Marina Resort. Tongyoung is the
most
beautiful port called Naples of Korea.

All materials must be written in English.
Extended abstracts(3 copies): double-spaced, 2 pages of A4 size
white papers. Choose the session from the above topics

Abstracts must be received by November 15, 1997
Papers for those registered and presenting at the conference
will be published in the conference proceedings;specific details on
