MULTIDISCIPLINARY POSTDOCTORAL TRAINING

A new National Science Foundation Biology Research Training Group at
the University of California, Davis, invites postdoctoral applications
from United States citizens and permanent residents. This
multidisciplinary program is designed to provide biologists with
sufficient mathematical skills and applied mathematicians with
sufficient biological knowledge to solve problems in cell physiology,
neurobiology, biofluiddynamics, ecology, and population biology.
Relevant training faculty within neurobiology include Charles Gray
(visual cortex physiology), Joel Keizer (modeling of intracellular
dynamics), Bruno Olshausen (computational models of vision), and Mitch
Sutter (auditory cortex physiology). Applicants should see the
Research Training Group webpage (http://www.itd.ucdavis.edu/rtg) for
information about applications, which are due by June 1, 1997.
