Postdoctoral Position
Integrative Neurophysiology

A postdoctoral NIMH fellowship is available immediately to study the
neurophysiological basis of sensorimotor and cognitive processing in monkey
neocortex. Cortical organization and function are studied using single- and
multiple-neuron recording, microstimulation and reversible inactivation of
small cortical regions, interneuronal correlations of spike trains, ect.
applied during performance of sensorimotor and mnemonic tasks. The frontal
eye field, supplementary eye field, and related cortical association areas are
investigated with the ultimate purpose of developing realistic computational
model of the network of cortical areas that underlie sensory, motor, and
cognitive integration.

Experience in neurophysiological, computational, or behavioral neuroscience is
desired.

US citizenship or permanent resident status required for NIMH fellowships.
