       Special Issue on Radial Basis Functions Networks
                for the journal NEUROCOMPUTING
            (http://www.elsevier.nl/locate/neucom)

One of the most popular neural network architectures due to their fast
learning and broad range of applicability are the Radial Basis Functions (RBF)
Networks. This special issue is dedicated to recent advances in all aspects
of this type of architecture, including but not restricted to:

* theoretical contributions,
* learning methods: supervised, unsupervised, on-line, etc.,
* architectural enhancements,
* applications in signal procession, vision, control, etc.,
* comparative assessments to other neural network architectures.
