      SEEKING A PROGRAMMER/RESEARCH ASSISTANT TO WORK
        ON NEURAL-NETWORK BRAIN MODELS AT RUTGERS-NEWARK
        NEUROSCIENCE CENTER (GLUCK LAB).

        We are looking for a programmer/research assistant
        to work with us on testing computational models
        of cortico-hippocampal function in animal and
        human learning. 

        The applicant must be able to work independently --
        given a set of specifications, he/she should be
        able to optimize program performance to generate
        results, and also analyze system behavior.

        The ideal applicant would be someone recently out
        of college, who would like some research experience
        prior to future graduate work in psychology, 
        neuroscience, cognitive science, or computer 
        science.

        Required Skills:
                Strong C (or C++) programming
                Knowledge of Unix
                Commitment to at least 15 hours/week,
                        for at least one year. Could also
                        be a full time position.

        Preferrred But Not Required Skills:
                Knowledge of Sun workstations
                Background in neural networks
                Background in premed, biology,
                        or psychology.

        Salary: Commensurate with skill level
                and experience.
