Interested connectionists are invited to apply for two new faculty positions
at the Colorado School of Mines.  One of these is at the Associate/Full
professor level, and the other is an entry level Assistant Professor position.

Applied Computer Science Associate/Full Professor

Applications are invited for an anticipated tenured position in Applied
Computer Science at the Associate or Full Professor level for fall 1997.
Applicants should have a Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related field;
excellence in teaching and research is essential.  Preference will be given to
candidates in the areas of artificial intelligence, scientific
visualization, and high performance computing.  Evidence of interest or
successful involvement in interdisciplinary collaborative research projects
is desirable.

Applied Computer Science Assistant Professor

Applications are invited for a tenure-track position in Applied Computer
Science at the Assistant Professor level for fall 1997.  Applicants should
have a Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related field, excellent research
accomplishments/potential and a strong commitment to teaching.  Preference
will be given to candidates in the areas of artificial intelligence,
scientific visualization, and high performance computing who have one or
more years of postdoctoral experience.
