SCOPE

The Optical Computing topical meeting will consist of invited papers
and both oral and poster contributed papers. Contributions are
solicited in all areas of research in materials, devices,
architectures and algorithms relevant to optical computing. Topics of
interest include:

1. Optical interconnections and buses for computing.

2. Optical and photonic computing systems, architectures, models
     and algorithms, digital or analog.

3. Hybrid optical/electronic processors.

4. Optical "neural" processors, including optical associative
     memories.

5. Optical memory.

6. Massively parallel architectures for optical implementation.

7. Spatial light modulators and other devices for optical
     computing.

8. Nonlinear optical phenomena of potential use in computing.

9. Nonlinear optical, electro-optical, and opto-electronic components.

10. Areas of application of the above components and processors.

11. Fundamental physical and computational properties relating to
the capabilities and limitations of optical computers.
