Does anybody know of work done in object recognition using orientation
selective cells? Specifically, I am looking for work done off of R. Linsker's
series of papers in 1986 in the Proc. Natl. Acad. Sci. USA (Refs. below).
Any references or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance....please send replies to rjwood at maxine.wpi.edu
