image compression

Sorry for being slightly off-track, but I think this is important:

(In response to the suggestion to Geoff that he use "Lena" as an example
for his image compression algorithm.)

For years I have been bothered by the "pretty woman looking seductive"
pictures used all too frequently as examples in machine vision
("Marilyn", "Lena", etc.).  I realize that they are often used, but I
think it's time for a change.  How about a still life, or an animal,
or just... people?
