No, the MATLAB license 2019b has not expired. The license manager<br>
might have died. It has to be restarted as a regular (non root) user.<br>
Typically<br>
I log as a root and then do<br>
<br>
su - auton-local<br>
cd /home/MATLAB/R2019/etc/<br>
./lmstart<br>

If you have an older pre 2019b license those have expired.<br>

I typically upgrade MATLAB in the lab only once a year due to the fact<br>
that CMU licenses run from 1st of October until the 1st of October<br>
next year.  I do have access to R2020b pre-release. I am not doing<br>
testing for Mathworks unless they add 100k to my current annual<br>
salary. The license for R2020b pre-release will expire in three<br>
months.  I could install R2020a but that is a lot of work if it is not<br>
really needed for something which can be used only until the end of<br>
September.<br>
