I am very pleased to let you know that Dr. Madalina Fiterau has just won the<br>
2016 SCCM Star Research Achievement Award. The reviewers for the<br>
Annual Congress of the Society of Critical Care Medicine ranked her<br>
abstract titled "Using expert review to calibrate semi-automated adjudication<br>
of vital sign alerts in Step-Down Units" among the highest scored submissions.<br>
<br>
It is not common for an author with a ML background to receive such a recognition<br>
from a society focused on a very specific subset of clinical research and practice.<br>
