This project is carried out with 9 other European partners. The role of the University of Groningen, and therefore the Postdoc, is to develop cognitive models of negotiation using the ACT-R architecture and its Actransfer extension, in collaboration with Prof. Taatgen and Dr. D.H. van Rijn. The central theme of the tasks involved concerns situations in which multiple partners have to reach an agreement on dividing common resources ("The tragedy of the commons"). The first goal is to build models that can explain behavioral data, but later adapt these models to program agents that humans can interact with, and learning models that track a human learner's progress.</span></div><h3 style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif; color: rgb(204, 0, 0); font-weight: normal; line-height: 22px; font-size: 17px; ">Qualifications</h3><div style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0.5em; line-height: 1.3em; "><span class="text">A successful candidate has a PhD degree in Cognitive Science, Artificial Intelligence or a related field, and has sufficient programming skills.
