Open Rank Professor in Cognition and Cognitive Neuroscience at FSU



The Department of Psychology at Florida State University invites 
applications for a tenure track appointment at an open rank to join our 
Cognition and Cognitive Neuroscience area with a start date of August 
2024. Candidates with doctoral degrees relevant to the study of human 
cognition are invited to apply. We are particularly interested in 
candidates that utilize computational approaches to study cognition in 
areas such as perception, learning and memory, language, 
decision-making, reasoning, skill acquisition, healthy aging, and 
neurodevelopment. Candidates must have a strong publication record, high 
potential for external grant funding, and a commitment to excellent 
teaching with diverse student populations.



The Psychology Department faculty is very active in research, with Ph.D. 
programs in cognition and cognitive neuroscience, neuroscience, social, 
clinical, and developmental psychology. FSU has a state-of-the-art 
research-dedicated MRI center featuring a 3T Siemens Prisma scanner, an 
MR-compatible high-density EEG system, MR- compatible TMS and tES 
systems, and peripheral equipment. Florida State ranks in the top 25 of 
National Public Universities (U. S. News & World Report).



Candidates should provide a cover letter, CV, copies of three 
representative preprints/reprints, brief statements of research, and
