Applications are invited for two positions at the Department of
Cognitive Psychology and Methodology, Institute for Psychology,
University of Basel, Switzerland.

                  RESEARCH ASSISTANT (50%-80%)

                    SENIOR SCIENTIST (80%-100%)

Candidates should have competences and interests in the areas of
(applied)
cognitive science and/or learning technologies. A well-founded
background in
cognitive psychology /cognitive modeling is expected. It is required
to actively participate in teaching (lectures can be held in english) as
well as in ongoing
research projects. For the research assistant position candidates must
hold a
relevant degree. Applicants for the position of a senior scientist are
required to hold a
PhD.

Depending on qualifications and experience the salary will be around
50.000 SFR p.a.
($33.000) for the position of the research assistant and around 90.000
SFR p.a.
($59.000) for the position of the senior scientist. The initial
appointment is for two years,
starting from January 2000 or later.
